Have you recently been diagnosed with diabetes? East Susses Healthcare Trust is now offering the Desmond diabetes education programme for newly diagnosed patients.
Courses are run monthly in Bexhill, Eastbourne and St Leonards-on-sea and patients are invited to attend with a partner, friend or relative.
What is Desmond?
DESMOND stands for Diabetes and Self-Management for Ongoing and Newly Diagnosed.
The programme is:
- An opportunity to fond out more about Type 2 Diabetes from health care professionals
- A Tool that will enable patients to manage lifestyle changes from their condition
- A chance to ask questions, meet and share experience with others.
- If you would like to attend a course, please ask your GP or practice nurse to refer you to the Desmond structured diabetes type 2 education programme.
